Sega kündigt Sega Ages Online an
30.03.12 - Sega gibt bekannt, dass seine Sega Ages-Serie als Sega Ages Online zurückkehren wird: Retro-Spiele sollen ab dem Frühjahr 2012 für PS3 im PSN und für Xbox 360 auf Xbox Live in Japan erscheinen.
In der Sega Ages Online-Serie finden Spieler die Original-Titel von damals, sowohl in der japanischen als auch internationalen Version. Neu ist eine Jukebox, in der sich der Soundtrack des Spiels anhören lässt. Trophäen und Achievements werden unterstützt, Replays sind speicherbar.
In einem Trial Mode werden Spielzeit und Punkte erfasst, dann in weltweiten Ranglisten online veröffentlicht. Sechs Spiele sind anfangs verfügbar:
- Alex Kidd in Miracle World (Mega Drive, 1989
- The Super Shinobi (Mega Drive, 1989)
- Super Hang-On (Arcade, 1987) **unterstützt stereoskopisches 3D**
- Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Arcade, 1987)
- Wonder Boy V: Monster World III (Mega Drive, 1991)
- Monster World IV (Mega Drive, 1994)
Auf der PS3 kostet ein Klassiker jeweils Yen 600. Auf der Xbox 360 werden immer drei Spiele im Verbund angeboten: Alex Kidd in Miracle World, The Super Shinobi und Super Hang-On kosten zusammen 800 Microsoft-Punkte, ebenso die drei Wonder Boy-Titel.

Anomaly: Warzone Earth gibt es zur Zeit für 320 MSP. Soll ein recht gutes Tower Defense Game sein.
