Gamepark Interview (february 2003)
I would like to thank CEO of Gamepark for taking time to answer my very long mail. The interview is divided in 3 parts: Software, hardware, miscelaneous. About Software
1) GP fight is delayed because of it's content, do you have news regarding it's release date?
Yes, but now we have some plan to lauching GP fight on internet download.
And the date of lauching is the end of Feb or the early of March.
2) Bloody Cross was announced but nothing new still now (the interview was done before the release of the screenshots), do you have something to share with us about it?
The demo version of Bloody Cross may be available on the end of Feb or early of March.
3) Since the lauch of GP32, capcoms game are announced, but still no news about them. Can you explain us exactly what is going on?
No, I think it is impossible to lauching the capcoms title.
4) At ECTS you have announced that you have been talking with 30 developpers. Have you signed contracts yet? Any european title upcomming?
No. Because we miss the communication with them.
5) Have you managed to get playmore adapt some SNK games on GP32?
No. but we've continue to make good game title
6) Have you got news about Guilty Gear GP32?
No. Cause of difficulty of development/porting, it also had been dropped.
7) Megagp Games are cheap and good, but when will european people will be able to buy them?
Yes, we have plan to making MegaGp site spread to Entware site.
8) People are wondering why can't entware sell megagp games to foreigners as they do have the technology to do it.
We negotiate the issue,please wait. :-)
9) Do you have any other estimated release dates for some long time ago announced titles like Windy Land and the new sonnori Game?
Windy Land had been dropped. and sonnori's Darkside story is ready.
And we are testing sonnori title.
10) When will be released the flash player for GP32? What is the project current status?
We now are porting the flash player, but it was delayed.
Maybe on Q2 of 2003 we can see the flash player.
11) Rumors says that the GP32 divx player will be updated, any thing planned ?
Not yet. but..... I don't know, when it's possible to update divx, but we are doing.
12) When will be released the java virtual machine for GP32? What is the project current status?
Yes, we also are porting J2ME to GP32. but no information about the date of release.

13) can you give us a release list for titles comming in 2003?
Yes. but give me more time.
14) When will the english version of ASR will be released? What is the status of the project?
We make the english translation of ASR in paper. but the quality was not good.
so, we remake the translation. but i do not expect the quality.
because the translator is not gamer.
15) Why are the Capcom games so much delayed?
Because of technogly problem, we've outsource the job to third party in Korea. but they give up.
About Hardware
1) How many GP32 have you sold since launch date? When do you think you will acheive the 100 000 mark?
about 150000
2) A new GP32 color was announced for 2003. Is it still on track, and do you know the color yet?
No plan,sorry
3) Have you an estimated release date for the GP32 in other country than Korea, like europe or USA?
No fixed plan, sorry
4) What is becomming of the GPi supposed to launch soon in Korea?
Maybe in this year. or early next year, we are just looking N-gage story.
5) Have you got news about the USB TV add-on you told us about?
No,news updated, sorry.
6) Have you started working on the GP32 replace, like the rumored GP64? Any idea of the hardware specs?
No, plan. sorry
7) What is the blue tooth mode you will announce? Will it enable copying files to computers wireless?
We participate 3GSM congress with GPI, that can communicate with moblie phone by bluetooth.
That's why I told you before, we'v changed GPI strategy. We'll approach in wireless game industry in distributed that is different with N-gage.
8) Any frontlight or backlight addon on track?
Yes, we made contract with nanotek, so firstly Nanotek do changing GP32 light-enable function.
Miscelaneous
1) People are complaining about GamePark's silence, what can you say about this?

2) People never gets answer to their mail, even professional developpers, why is that situation?
............ :-)
3) What are your relationship with SEGA? Can we expect Sega games on GP32 this year?
Sega heard the rumor, so sega gave us the notice that we had better quitting discussion.
4) Why wasn't the GP32 released ineurope for Christmas time as announced at ECTS?
Because the distributor in UK had broken the contract.
