System: PS5 + PSVR2



IO Interactive announces a collaboration with Solutions 2 GO (S2G), a global distributor of video games, to release a physical edition of HITMAN World of Assassination for the PlayStation® 5 System on August 25, 2023.


All players who want to pre-order this unique physical edition can do so now at their preferred global video game retailer. Every physical copy of the game includes a set of 3 collector’s art cards, featuring artwork from the luxurious and hyper-detailed game locations. Each card features imagery from an iconic game destination in the trilogy: the mysterious ICA Training Facility, the high-octane thrills of a Miami racetrack, and the luxurious elegance of the tallest skyscraper in Dubai.

In addition, a limited number of art cards (50 for Europe/ANZ and 50 for the Americas) will be autographed by the IO Interactive development team and randomly inserted into physical copies of the game.

IO Interactive today announces a brand new Elusive Target mission for HITMAN World of Assassination featuring international superstar DJ and actor Dimitri Vegas. Featuring Dimitri Vegas’ likeness and voiceover work, the upcoming mission will be available for free to all HITMAN World of Assassination players later this year and scheduled to release globally on PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, Nintendo Switch™ and PC.

Dimitri Vegas will take on the role of “The Drop” – a DJ-turned-drug impresario bent on controlling the scene one way or another.

The new mission was announced during a surprise interruption to Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike’ set at Tomorrowland 2023 on July 30th, the largest and most popular electronic dance music festival in the world.

“I’m extremely excited to be a part of the Hitman universe,” said Dimitri. “It’s always exciting to be involved in creative projects and I’m looking forward to seeing how everyone reacts to my character when the mission launches later this year.”

In HITMAN World of Assassination, Elusive Targets are unique, high-stakes contracts that are only available for a limited time. These missions are free for all players, allowing one chance to assassinate the target and if not successfully completed, the contract cannot be retried. Unique rewards attached to the “The Drop” Elusive Target mission will be revealed at a later date.

Sean Bean alias Mark Faba, der als erstes Elusive Target in HITMAN 2 eingeführt wurde, hat sich sofort als Fan-Liebling der HITMAN-Community etabliert. IO Interactive, the independent video game developer and publisher behind, among others, the internationally acclaimed HITMAN franchise, debuted a first look at HITMAN World of Assassination on PlayStation VR2 during the PlayStation State of Play. Planned for release in December 2024, the PlayStation VR2 version of HITMAN World of Assassination will feature brand-new VR features including dual-wielding, full ambidexterity, room-scale implementation, as well as general improved VR experience through new intuitive controls and gameplay mechanics. Players will be able to access the PSVR2 version through an upgrade pack available for HITMAN World of Assassination owners on PlayStation®5.



HITMAN World of Assassination on PlayStation VR2 will support the full main campaign of HITMAN World of Assassination, allowing players to enjoy the award-winning game with added immersion and brand-new additions. Become the world’s best assassin through the 4K HDR display of PlayStation VR2. Explore your surroundings, create unique strategies using the environment, disguise yourself to blend in the crowd, and strike when the timing is right, all through Agent 47’s eyes.

HITMAN World of Assassination on PlayStation VR2 has been enhanced to completely immerse players during their missions. Now supporting dual-wielding, a wide array of actions and interactions have been added, including the possibility of performing actions with both controllers at the same time, active reloading, on-body weapon holstering, aiming through the sniper’s scope. Enhancements have been added to improve the core VR experience, such as Room scale implementation, spatial interactions to touch, grab, and position, integration of the PlayStation VR2 controllers’ adaptative triggers, and many more.



Players who already own HITMAN World of Assassination on PlayStation 5 will be able to buy an upgrade pack to the PlayStation VR2 content for $9.99, €9.99, £8.99.

The Disruptor besteht aus zwei Teilen. Zunächst gilt es, den Disruptor auszuschalten – einen mysteriösen Multimillionär und MMA-Kämpfer, der versucht, sich in der geheimnisvollen Ark Society – einer Organisation, die sich aus den reichsten und einflussreichsten Personen der Welt zusammensetzt – einen Namen zu machen. Das zweite Ziel ist der Schutz von Tim Quinn, dem CEO von Quantum Leap und Kampfsport-Enthusiasten, der gegen den unberechenbaren Disruptor in den Ring steigen will.
