    Team17 and Black Matter have today announced that online strategic first-person shooter, Hell Let Loose, will launch on Steam for PC on 27th July, with a release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S to follow later in 2021. Set during World War II, in addition to the nine key Western Front battles available right now in Early Access (including the D-Day beach landings at Utah and Omaha, Carentan, and Foy) Hell Let Loose’s release onto PC next month will introduce Russian forces and two new large urban maps set in the Eastern Front: Kursk and Stalingrad.

    Hell Let Loose delivers an authentic reenactment of the large-scale chaos of war, where individuals are cogs working together to turn the tide of battle. As the fight unfolds, the two sides work to secure crucial supply chains for resources, capture sectors across the map that influences the outcome of the fight, sweep across battlefields in armoured tanks, or disable defenses with artillery bombardment. Strategic gameplay and communication is critical to winning a battle; both sides are split into 10 squads of five players, each squad led by an officer who reports to a single commander who ultimately develops the path to victory – or takes responsibility for bloody defeat.

    Hell Let Loose key features:

    • Experience authentic, strategic gameplay: Fight in epic 50 vs 50 multiplayer battles across two distinct game modes, Offensive and Warfare;
    • Battle across both European theatres: Fight across 11 authentically recreated maps, including two on the Eastern Front. On the Western Front land at Omaha or Utah Beaches, fight through Carentan and into the frozen forests of Foy before climbing Hill 400
    • Discover and master your role in battle: Choose from 14 unique roles, including officer, medic, machinegunner, commander, tank crewman, sniper and more
    • Immersive gameplay: Authentic ballistics and recoil patterns create satisfying, skillful gunplay
    • Fortifications and vehicles: Build defenses on the battlefield to strengthen positions, or take control of an array of World War II era vehicles, including the Sherman and Tiger tanks

    Team17 hat offiziell das kommende Update für Hell Let Loose namens Burning Snow angekündigt – zusammen mit jeder Menge neuer Inhalte und Aktivitäten für die Spieler des Multiplayer-Ego-Shooters. Am 6. Dezember werden mit der Veröffentlichung der weitläufigen und schneebedeckten neuen Karte „Kharkov“ (Charkiw) außerdem die von der Community erbetenen Gegenstände wie Flammenwerfer, Molotow-Cocktails, Geländefahrzeuge wie der Willys-Jeep und Kübelwagen sowie der leichte sowjetische Panzer T-70 vorgestellt. Das Update wird von zwei herunterladbaren Inhaltspaketen begleitet: dem DLC „Winter Warfare“ (Winterkrieg) und dem aus Helmen bestehenden Kosmetikpaket „Skull Bucket“ (Schädeleimer).

    „Wir freuen uns über die Veröffentlichung von Burning Snow“, sagte Maximilian Rea, Game Director und Entwickler von Hell Let Loose. „Die Spieler haben uns um viele dieser Features gebeten, und da wir jetzt den Gleichstand zwischen den Plattformen erreicht haben, können alle Fans diese neuen Elemente gleichzeitig erleben.“

    Rea fuhr mit einer Beschreibung der Karte „Kharkov“ fort: „Auf dieser Karte haben wir eine Kombination aus dem panzerorientierten Gameplay von Kursk mit weiten offenen Feldern, Hügeln und dem industriell geprägten Aufbau von Stalingrad implementiert. Dazu gehören Eisenbahnstrecken, Brücken und sowjetischer Städtebau, die um tiefe Täler, Bewaldung und Sumpfgebiete erweitert wurden. Da all das auch noch in einer Winterlandschaft spielt, wird diese Karte zu einem einzigartigen Erlebnis. Wir glauben, dass den Spielern die Gefechtsvariationen an dieser neuen Front gefallen werden.“

    Im Rahmen des Updates bekommen die Spieler außerdem Zugriff auf ein kosmetisches Ausrüstungspaket für den Aufbau zweier voreingestellter Sets, zwischen denen sie je nach Vorlieben und taktischem Vorgehen wechseln können. Darüber hinaus gibt es noch optimierte Animationen, um die Darstellungstreue der Charaktere zu verbessern.

    Außerdem sind mehrere kostenlose Wochenenden für Hell Let Loose geplant, die am 1. Dezember auf Steam und am 8. Dezember auf der PlayStation 5 und Xbox Series X|S beginnen.     To those of you who played the Open Beta over the weekend, we hope you enjoyed your time going hands-on with Hell Let Loose: Vietnam ahead of launch.


    We have been so excited watching you share your experiences, seeing the great videos from our War Correspondents and being able to receive and implement your important feedback throughout both our Closed and Open Betas.


    In addition to your feedback, we have also been carrying out intensive internal playtests for both the PC and Console versions of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam and we have identified several areas where additional development time will allow us to deliver a stronger launch experience.


    Therefore, after careful consideration, we have decided to delay launch to August 13th. This will ensure that Hell Let Loose: Vietnam launches at the quality level we expect and you deserve.


    We understand that many of you have been waiting patiently for this next instalment in the Hell Let Loose franchise and we are deeply appreciative of your patience. We will continue to keep you updated on our progress.

    This weekend, starting today, Friday July 24, 2PM BST, Team17 and Expression Games are opening the doors to the first crossplay playtest for PC and console players. This playtest will take place on a brand new map, the Đắk Tô Airfield.


    November 1967 saw the start of the Battle of Đắk Tô, an attack on a key US airfield base and surrounding hilltop fortifications in the central highlands of South Vietnam. The focal point of the base is its long, stretching airstrip, allowing nearby armor and recon units to take advantage and dominate the area. Impact craters and destroyed vehicles are strewn along the runway, caused by the constant bombardment of artillery strikes.


    The operating airfield means the surrounding areas are less dense than the typical jungle, demanding effective teamwork and communication to navigate the open space safely.


    Crossplay Playtest Details as follows:

    • Start Date/Time: Friday, July 24, 2PM BST / 6AM PDT
    • End Date/Time: Monday, July 27, 2PM BST / 6AM PDT
    • Platforms: PC (Steam only), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S

    On Steam, head to the Hell Let Loose: Vietnam store page. Upon the playtest going live, a button will appear which will allow you to 'request access' to the playtest. Simply select this, download the playtest app, and join the test.


    PS5 and XBOX

    To take part, simply search for the ‘Hell Let Loose: Vietnam Playtest’ application on either the PlayStation or XBOX store once the playtest goes live, download the app, and jump into the action.


    Please note that an active PS+ or Xbox Game Pass Essential subscription is required to join the test.

    Gestern Nacht noch den ersten Teil des Tutorials gestartet. Den Vorgänger habe ich nicht gespielt, deshalb ist's für mich noch sehr ungewohnt. Es gibt teilweise Doppelbelegung von Buttons und u.a. ein mega kleinteiliges Radialmenü für Befehle und Marker. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig und vll nicht der klassische Konsolentitel.. :D

    Dickes Update 1.5 eingespielt!


    Update 1.5 will bring an array of new content to the first-person shooter. The title, described by PCGamesN as “beautifully brutal”, will include two of the most requested weapons and the hotly anticipated Bell UH-1 Iroquois ‘Huey’ helicopter which will now feature in-game music via its onboard radio.

    In a blog post shared earlier this week, the community were introduced to the 2026 updates in a comprehensive roadmap, adding a number of highly requested features. Update 1.5 includes:

    • New Weapons: M14 & SKS – The US Forces will receive the M14 rifle, while the NVA will add the Type 56 SKS rifle to their arsenals.
    • Bell UH-1 Iroquois ‘Huey’ – One of the most recognisable helicopters from the Vietnam War, brought to life in the title with highly accurate detailing, decals and physical features like the onboard radio.
    • Music In-Game – Players will now be able to listen to era-appropriate music via ‘Huey’ radios; with music accessible inside the vehicle, as well as being broadcast to nearby players as you fly over the battlefield. A Spotify Playlist of the epic song list can be found here.

    Within the blog post, team17 state: “Authenticity has always been incredibly important to Hell Let Loose”, most notably coming into effect when working directly with Bell on the Bell UH-1 Iroquois, where players can experience a more accurate representation of this legendary aircraft as it takes to the skies over Vietnam.”
