Announced during The Game Awards with a short teaser video, Godzilla was wryly referred to as the "OG" and cited as a solution to common problems that city managers everywhere face, like conflict resolution and urban renewal. Godzilla is being developed by Natsume Atari and published by Bandai Namco. It was originally thought to be a Japanese exclusive, but western players will be able to fight classic kaiju as well this coming summer.
Game modes will include 20 different missions filled with city-crushing mayhem, "Diorama Mode" that will allow players to "place Godzilla in different settings to capture epic photos," and a "King of Monsters Mode" that will see the green titan fight his way through the franchises most memorable enemies.
